Read & write Arabic

Learn to read and write Arabic from zero at any age: the letters and their sounds, the vowel marks and long vowels, then words with pictures, then sentences and everyday signs (exit, pharmacy, push). Every lesson is heard and repeated, with exercises: listen and pick, build the word from its letters, type it, and read it aloud while the phone checks. 8 units with saved progress, works offline.

Questions

Who is this course for?

Anyone starting from zero: a child in kindergarten, an adult who didn't learn as a child, or an Arabic learner who can speak but not read. The content is simple standard Arabic, and the pictures and sound replace long explanations.

Where does the sound come from?

From your phone's built-in reading voice (speechSynthesis) in Arabic — no internet needed. If your device has no Arabic voice, install one from the language settings or use Chrome on Android. Voice checking uses the browser's speech recognition (Chrome).

Why not just isolated letters?

Because real reading starts from the syllable: ba bi bu, then baa boo bee. Unit one covers the letters and their shapes; units two and three the vowel marks and long vowels — which unlock words.

Does it teach handwriting?

The focus is reading and writing with the keyboard (what people need for messages and forms). For tracing letters with a finger, use the «First letters» tool.
