Camera, mic and speaker check

Before a meeting or an interview: see your camera, speak and watch the mic pick you up, hear the left and right speakers, and check the screen for dead pixels. All in the browser, nothing is recorded.

Your file never leaves your device — everything runs in your browser

How to use it

  1. Press «Start camera» and allow the browser; switch between front and back and see the resolution.
  2. Speak and watch the mic meter move; record 5 seconds and play it back.
  3. Play the left and right tones, then open the full-screen colour check.

Questions

Why does the browser ask for camera and mic permission?

Because the check actually turns them on. The picture and sound stay on your device and are gone when you close the page; nothing is recorded or uploaded.

Camera works in Zoom but not in the browser?

Another app is usually holding it (Teams, Zoom, Skype). Close it and try again. On Windows check Privacy settings → Camera → allow the browser.

The mic picks up but it's quiet?

Raise the microphone level in the sound settings and enable mic boost. An external mic or a headset beats a laptop mic in meetings.

What is the screen check?

It fills the screen with one colour (red, green, blue, white, black) so any fixed dot that never changes stands out: a dead or stuck pixel. Useful before buying a used device.
