What a tailor asks for

Most accurate: lay a kandura or abaya that fits you flat and measure it the same way.

    How to use it

    1. Pick kandura or abaya.
    2. Type your height in cm (or feet and inches).
    3. See the ready-made size number and the garment length.
    4. For a tailor: take the list and measure yourself as described.

    Questions

    What does size 56 mean?

It is the garment's length in inches, from the top of the shoulder to the ankle. 56 inches is about 142 cm.

How is the number worked out?

From published size charts: a kandura ends at the ankle, so it is about your height minus 11 inches; an abaya reaches the floor, so about your height minus 9 inches. Sizes are even: 50, 52, 54…

    Will the size surely fit?

It is the length for your height only. Each brand has its own chart, and the width (chest, shoulder) differs. Before buying, compare with a kandura or abaya you own that fits.

    Do you keep my height?

No. It is worked out in your browser and nothing leaves your device.
