How much is the late fine

Your Emirates ID, residence visa, driving licence or car registration expired and you haven't renewed? Type the expiry date and see: the grace period you get without a fine, today's fine, and when it hits the cap — with the official numbers from ICP and RTA, each with its link. Plus what to do now.

How to use it

  1. Pick the document: Emirates ID, residence visa, visit visa, driving licence, car registration, trade licence.
  2. Type the expiry date (and the visa category if asked) — you get the grace period, the fine accrued to today, and the cap.
  3. Read «what to do» and tap the official link to renew.

Questions

Where are the numbers from?

From official pages: the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ID and visas), Dubai's RTA (driving licence and registration), and the u.ae portal. Each number has its link. Numbers we couldn't find on an official page are not written; we tell you to check with the authority.

Is there a grace period for residence visas?

Yes, by category: 180 days for Golden, Green and Blue residents and their families, widows, divorcees and graduating students; 90 days for skilled workers (levels 1–3) and property owners; 60 days for sponsor/host-linked residencies; 30 days for everyone else. Then AED 50 per day.

My ID expired months ago — do I pay a thousand?

The fine is AED 20 per day after the 30-day grace period, capped at AED 1,000 however long it goes. It is paid with the renewal application.

Car registration: how much per month?

The RTA gives a 30-day grace period, blocks the traffic file if you don't renew within two months, and says the fine depends on the vehicle category and the delay without publishing a single figure — so we don't invent one. Renew before two months to avoid the block.
