How we estimate, and its limits
  • Estimated from listings and published auction results — not an RTA or ITC valuation.
  • Listings sit above actual sales, so negotiated prices are usually lower.
  • Auction prices exclude 5% VAT and participation and certificate fees.
  • Prices roughly tripled since 2023 (RTA auction totals from 38M to 109M) — estimate dated September 2026.
  • Charity-auction prices include donation intent and run above market.
  • Data is thin for two-digit and repeated plates — treat as indicative.

How to use it

  1. Pick the emirate and enter the code (A, AA or 5) and number.
  2. See the range: the lower end is closer to real sales, the upper is listing level.
  3. Compare with the closest plates sold at auction or listed for sale.

Questions

Where do the figures come from?

Dubai RTA auction results (2023–2025), the “Most Noble Number” charity auctions, the Abu Dhabi auction and about 300 Dubizzle listings for 2–5 digit plates. It's not an official RTA valuation.

Why such a wide range?

The market is thin and prices depend on the buyer. Listings usually sit above real sale prices (about 1.7× for two-digit plates).

Any fees on top?

Yes: at RTA auctions 5% VAT on the price, an AED 120 fee, an AED 100 certificate and AED 20 fee. A Dubai plate must go on a car whose owner holds a Dubai residence.
