Where does it go?
Type the thing — an old phone, a battery, a jar, clothes, cooking oil, a sofa — and see where it goes in your emirate: the recycling bin, general waste, a sustainability point, bulky-waste pickup, or a bottle-return machine — from the official guides.

Questions
Where is this from?
Dubai Municipality's waste segregation guide, Abu Dhabi's EAD and Tadweer policies, and Bee'ah in Sharjah (read 19 October 2026). Where no rule is published we say so.
Where do phones and batteries go in Dubai?
To the Municipality's Smart Sustainability Oasis points (e.g. Al Twar Centre, the Quranic Garden in Al Khawaneej, Mirdif Park, Nadd Al Hamar Park) or an approved e-waste company.
Are plastic bags banned?
Yes — single-use plastic shopping bags are banned nationwide from 1 January 2024, and cups, plates, cutlery, straws and foam boxes were added on 1 January 2026.
