Questions
Why are Abu Dhabi savings lower?
The 2026 Department of Energy policy for homes is self-supply only: power sent to the grid isn't offset against your bill. Savings come from what you use while the sun shines — choose that share in the list.
In Dubai, what if I produce more than I use?
Under Shams Dubai the surplus becomes a credit carried to later bills without limit, but it's never paid in cash and is lost if you close the account.
Where does the cost come from?
There's no official figure. We use the range in 2026 installer guides: AED 4,000 to 6,700 per kW. Get quotes from approved contractors.
Where does the production come from?
The World Bank's Global Solar Atlas: 1,775–1,835 kWh per kW a year. «Realistic» uses 1,550 after heat and dust, as installers do.
