What's golden hour?
When the sun is low (6° above to 4° below the horizon): warm, soft light and long shadows — best for portraits and landscapes.
Blue hour?
Before sunrise and after sunset with the sun 4–6° below the horizon: deep blue sky, great for cityscapes.
How accurate?
NOAA's astronomical equations, within about a minute — mountains and tall buildings can hide the sun earlier.
