Questions
What does it catch?
Words that aren't in the dictionary, and the common slips a dictionary can't see because the wrong spelling is a real word with another meaning: «المدرسه» for «المدرسة», «الي» for «إلى», «ذالك», «هاذا», «لاكن», «انشاء الله», a «و» written apart from its word, and a repeated word.
Why is a name or a foreign word marked?
The dictionary holds Arabic words, so place names, people and borrowed words may be marked though they're right. Press Ignore.
Does it check grammar?
No, it's a spell checker. «ذهبوا الطلاب», for example, passes because every word in it is spelt right.
Does it work on dialect?
The dictionary is standard Arabic, so dialect words show as unknown.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The dictionary (Ayaspell, the one in LibreOffice) downloads once and runs in your browser.
