Why does Arabic break in other Base64 tools?
Because the browser's btoa only takes Latin characters. Here the text is turned into UTF-8 first, so Arabic and emoji come back as they were.
Base64 vs Base64URL?
Base64URL swaps + and / for - and _ and drops the trailing =, so it fits in a link or a JWT token without trouble.
Is Base64 encryption?
No. It's an encoding anyone can reverse. Don't use it to hide passwords or sensitive data.
Are files uploaded?
No, the file is read in your browser only.
