Zakat calculator
Work out your zakat: cash and accounts, gold by karat, silver, shares and trade goods — with the nisab of 85 g of 24k gold at today's price, and 2.5% for a Hijri year or 2.577% for a Gregorian one, like the UAE authority's calculator.

Debts, as the UAE Zakat Fund applies them: pay what you owe first and pay zakat on the rest, and if that falls below the nisab no zakat is due. A debt owed to you by someone able and willing to pay is counted every year; one owed by someone insolvent or stalling is paid once, when you receive it, so leave it out here.
Nisab and rates as in the official calculator of the UAE General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat (awqaf.gov.ae). Pay your zakat via the Authority
How to use it
- Enter cash and savings held for a full year.
- Add gold in grams by karat, silver, shares and trade goods.
- See the nisab at today's price, whether you reach it, and the zakat due.
Questions
Why 2.577% for a Gregorian year?
The zakat year is lunar; counting by the solar year (about 11 days longer) means 2.577% instead of 2.5% — as in the official calculator.
Is worn jewellery zakatable?
Most schools say no for normal worn jewellery; the Hanafis say yes. It's included only if you choose. Stored gold or gold for trade is zakatable.
Shares?
Traded shares at market value on the due date; long-term holdings in operating companies: zakat on their profits.
