Try the kandura and abaya colour

Before tailoring a kandura in a new colour or buying a coloured abaya: photograph yourself (or upload a photo) and pick the colour — grey, beige, navy, olive, burgundy, or any colour you type — and see yourself in it in the same photo: face, pose and background unchanged, only the garment's colour changes with its folds and shade. Try five colours in a minute and take the photo to the tailor.

How to use it

  1. Photograph yourself standing with the whole garment visible in good light (or upload a photo).
  2. Pick the garment (kandura, abaya, shayla, thobe, shirt) and the colour — or type a colour in your words.
  3. Press «Try» and wait a few seconds — save the photo or try another colour.

Questions

Does the face change?

The model is told explicitly: face, skin, hair, pose, background and lighting stay as they are, and only the garment's colour changes. Most photos come out matching; if there's a small difference try again or use a clearer photo.

Is the photo uploaded?

It's sent to the image model to edit and the new photo comes back; it isn't stored with us. 8 tries per device per day because each has a cost.

Fabric colours?

Type the colour and fabric if you like («light beige cotton», «dark grey wool») and the model tries to give the right sheen. Best to try colours close to what the tailor sells.

Will it dress me in a kandura if I'm in a shirt?

No; this tool changes the colour of the garment in the photo. For a full Emirati-dress portrait use the «Old photo» tool.
