Arabic-Indic ↔ Western digits in files

A whole file with digits in the wrong form? Drop a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file or some text, pick the direction — ٠١٢٣ to 0123 or back — and get the same file, same formatting, every digit converted, without it leaving your device. Persian digits ۰۱۲۳ are accepted too.

Your file never leaves your device — everything runs in your browser

Direction
Drop the file heredocx · xlsx · pptx · txt · csv

How to use it

  1. Drop the file (docx, xlsx, pptx, txt, csv) or paste text.
  2. Pick the direction: to Western 0-9 or to Arabic-Indic ٠-٩.
  3. Download the converted file — fonts, tables and pictures as they were.

Questions

Why do authorities want specific digits?

Most systems read Western 0-9 only, while some Arabic forms want Arabic-Indic ٠-٩ for consistency. A file mixing both looks sloppy, so convert the whole thing one way.

Are Excel number cells converted?

Text containing digits is converted. Real numeric cells are displayed by Excel according to the locale, and turning them into text would break sums and formulas — so they stay numbers and we tell you how many text cells changed.

Does the formatting change?

No. Only digits inside the text are swapped; everything else (fonts, colours, tables, pictures, footnotes) stays as it is.

And PDF?

A PDF is a printed picture you can't retype. Convert the original (Word) and print it to PDF, or use the PDF edit tool for specific spots.
