How many calories on the plate?
Photograph your plate before eating — machboos, harees, luqaimat, shawarma, biryani, salad, a Friday breakfast — and get an estimate: each item on the plate with its rough weight, calories, protein, carbs and fat, the total with an error range, and one tip to lighten it without depriving yourself. It knows Emirati, Gulf, Indian and Levantine food.
How to use it
- Photograph the plate from above at a slight angle, in good light, with the whole plate in the frame.
- Press «Calculate» — every item and the total appear.
- Edit a weight if you know it better and the total updates.
Questions
How accurate?
A visual estimate, not a measurement: the usual error is ±20–30% because oil and sugar don't show. It gives a range rather than one number, and helps comparison and awareness more than exact counting. For accuracy, weigh the food.
Does it know our food?
Yes: machboos, harees, thareed, luqaimat, balaleet, khabeesa, khameer, regag, shawarma, biryani, kabsa, mandi and more — with their usual recipes (rice with oil and meat, syrup on luqaimat…).
Does it save my meals?
Nothing is saved for now; the photo goes to the model and the result comes back. Tell us if you want a food diary.
Medical advice?
No; approximate numbers for awareness. People with diabetes or medical diets should see a dietitian.
