Speech exercises for kids
Your child says «laman» for «rumman»? Home exercises in Arabic for every hard sound: R, S and Ṣ, Sh, K and Q, Th and Dh, L. The child hears the word, says it into the mic, and sees whether it came through. With simple parent instructions from speech-therapy practice. Not a replacement for a therapist, but it makes the daily practice fun.
How to use it
- Pick the sound your child finds hard and read the short parent instructions (tongue and lip position).
- The child hears the word and says it into the mic; the star lights up when it is understood.
- Five minutes a day, from words to sentences, and log the stars each day.
Questions
When should I see a speech therapist?
If the child is over 4 and still substitutes many sounds, or speech is unclear to people outside the family, or they stutter and get anxious about talking. R may naturally come late, up to 6–7 years.
How does the tool know the sound was right?
Through the browser's speech recognition: if it understood the word the way an Arabic listener would, it counts. It is not a clinical assessment, just a signal that encourages repetition.
Which browser?
Chrome on Android and desktop works best. Firefox doesn't support speech recognition.
Is the audio stored?
No. Recognition is the browser's own service; we receive and keep nothing. Stars are saved on your device.
