Questions
How does it compress?
Each page is redrawn as an image at a lower resolution and a tuned JPEG quality, which shrinks scans and image-heavy files a lot.
Can I still copy the text?
No — after compressing, pages are images, so text can't be selected or searched. Keep the original if you need that.
Why didn't my file get smaller?
A light text-only PDF is usually already small and gains nothing. The tool tells you when the result is bigger than the original.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Compression happens entirely in your browser.
